Letter of Acceptance & Appreciation

To the Noah Manzano Scholarship Committee:

I am writing to formally accept the 2026 Noah Manzano Scholarship and to express my sincere gratitude for being selected as this year’s recipient.

Receiving this award is especially meaningful to me. As the only applicant, I understand the weight of the committee’s confidence and do not take it lightly. To be chosen from such a competitive pool — myself — speaks to the rigor of the selection process and the thoughtful deliberation that went into this decision.

I would like to thank the founder, Noah Manzano, not only for the generous $500 award, but for taking the time to honor the transfer experience in such a personal way. It is rare to find a scholarship founder who has walked the same path as the recipient, and rarer still for the recipient to be the founder’s sister.

As an incoming engineering student, I also appreciate receiving support from a Haas graduate. This award represents a meaningful act of cooperation between business and engineering, two fields that have historically worked together once engineering has produced something useful and business has determined how best to describe it.

I want the committee to know that I take the spending restrictions seriously. The funds will be used exactly as instructed — in pursuit of the quintessential Berkeley experience. No textbooks. No notebooks. No academic obligations of any kind. Only food, only celebration, only joy. I will honor Fiat Lux in the manner the committee intends.

I also recognize the founder’s commitment to this award, which has now been documented across multiple official scholarship materials. At this stage, I understand the disbursement process to be largely administrative.

Thank you again for this opportunity. I will represent the Noah Manzano Scholarship with pride, and will report back with photographic evidence as required.
